Install IPTV Smarters Pro from your device’s app store (or with the Downloader app on a Firestick), choose the Xtream codes login, and enter the server URL, username and password from your welcome email. Most problems afterwards come from a typo in the URL, an old app version or a wrong guide time offset.

What IPTV Smarters Pro is, and what it isn’t
IPTV Smarters Pro is a player. It doesn’t come with channels; it plays the ones in your subscription. That matters because you’ll find copies of the app, under slightly different names, on every store. All of them need a login from a provider to show anything.
The app is made by an independent developer, not by us. Versions differ a little between Android, iOS and desktop, so menu names in this guide may not match yours word for word. The layout is always the same idea: a home screen with Live TV, Movies, Series and, if your plan has it, Catch Up.

CH 03Step by step
Install the app and log in, device by device
Keep the welcome email open on your phone. You’ll copy three things from it: the server URL, the username and the password.
Firestick and Fire TV
Install the Downloader app from the Amazon store. Then Settings > My Fire TV > Developer Options and allow Downloader to install apps. If Developer Options is hidden, go to About and click the device name seven times. Enter the developer’s official download link in Downloader; ask us on WhatsApp if you can’t find it.
Android TV, Google TV and phones
Search the Google Play Store for IPTV Smarters. If your device’s store doesn’t list it, the Downloader method above works on most Android TV boxes too.
iPhone, iPad and Apple TV
Open the App Store and look for the Smarters developer’s listing; its exact title has changed more than once. Full Apple steps are on our Apple TV setup guide.
Windows and Mac
Download the desktop version from the developer’s site, install it and open it like any program.
Choose the login type
The welcome screen offers several sign-in types. Take Xtream Codes API; the M3U route drops films and series.
Enter your details
Any name, then username, password and URL exactly as emailed. Include http:// and the port number after the colon if the email has one.
Wait for the first load
Smarters now fetches channels, films, series and guide data. Give it up to three minutes on the larger plans.
CH 04Settings
Four IPTV Smarters settings worth changing on day one
- EPG time shift. If the guide shows the wrong program, shift it by whole hours until it matches. Look under Settings, often called EPG or Time Shift.
- Stream format. Some versions let you choose Default, MPEGTS (.ts) or HLS (.m3u8). If a channel stutters, try the other formats before anything else.
- Player selection. Switch between the built-in player and the alternative engine. One often handles a tricky channel better than the other.
- Automation. Turn on automatic refresh of channels and guide at startup, so the list stays current without you thinking about it.

IPTV Smarters Pro errors and fixes
Invalid username or password
Typo, capital letter, or a space copied at the end
Type the details by hand. Usernames and passwords are case-sensitive.
Unable to connect to server
URL missing http://, wrong port, or a stray slash
Copy the URL exactly as emailed, including the colon and port.
Live works, Movies and Series empty
Account added through the M3U route
Create a fresh user of the Xtream Codes API type, then remove the M3U one.
Guide shows the wrong program
Time zone or EPG offset
Use EPG time shift in Settings until now-playing matches.
One channel stutters, others fine
That source is struggling
Try its other version (FHD/HD) in the same group, or switch stream format.
Everything buffers in the evening
Home Wi-Fi under load
Restart the router and device, use 5 GHz or Ethernet, pause downloads elsewhere.
Black screen, audio plays
Decoder issue on that device
Change player selection, or turn hardware acceleration off and on.
Max connections reached
Another device is streaming on a one-screen plan
Close the stream on the other device, or add a screen.

Making Smarters faster on an older Firestick
Clear the cache weekly
On Fire TV: Settings > Applications > Manage Installed Applications > Smarters, then Clear cache. Leave Clear data alone unless you want to retype your login.
Hide the groups you never open
Fewer groups means a lighter list to draw every time you open Live TV. Hiding 80 country groups is the single biggest speed gain on a Lite or 2nd-gen stick.
Keep 1 GB of storage free
Fire TV slows down badly when storage is almost full. Remove apps you haven’t opened in months.
Restart once a week
Hold Select and Play/Pause for five seconds. It frees memory that streaming apps slowly fill.
Know when to switch apps
If the guide still takes over a minute to open, try TiviMate or XCIPTV on that stick. Same login, often a very different experience.
Is there a charge for the Smarters app itself?
Most store versions cost nothing. The odd build adds banners or paid features; that money goes to its developer, never through us.
Can I use one login on two devices?
You can install it on both, but a one-screen plan plays on one device at a time. Two-screen options are on the subscription plans page.
How do I watch replay in Smarters?
Two ways in, on Premium 4K or Lifetime Max: the Catch Up tile on the home screen, or a past slot in any channel’s guide. Channels without an archive don’t appear.
Does IPTV Smarters Pro record?
Some versions have a record option on certain devices. Replay on our higher plans usually covers the same need without filling your storage.
What is the multi-screen button for?
It splits the screen to play several live channels at once, handy on a big TV during a busy sports Saturday. Each tile is a separate stream, so it needs a plan with enough screens, like Lifetime Max with up to 4.
Can I add a second user or playlist?
Yes. The app keeps a list of users, so you can store more than one login and switch between them from the user screen. That’s also where you delete an old login.
Which Firestick runs IPTV Smarters best?
The Fire TV Stick 4K Max is smooth even with the full guide. Older Lite models work but are slow to open the guide; there, the speed tips above help. Our Firestick guide covers the other apps too.
Is Smarters better than TiviMate?
Smarters runs on more devices. TiviMate is faster and nicer with a huge guide, but only on Android and Fire TV.
How do I move IPTV Smarters Pro to a new Firestick?
Install it on the new stick, sign in with the same three details from your welcome email, and rebuild your favorites; settings don’t travel between devices. Sign out on the old stick before you give it away.
Does IPTV Smarters Pro show the guide for every channel?
Only where guide data exists for that channel. Big US and international networks nearly always have it. Small regional channels sometimes don’t, and their slot shows just the channel name.
